SYSL Developmental Program Ball Mastery -Spring 2014Registration closes in 5 days
Ball Mastery Developmental Training Program Description:
Ball Mastery courses are designed to develop soccer specific skills and techniques that will improve ball control, dribbling speed, coordination, agility, and balance. Players of all ability can push their game to a new level, as exercising with and without a ball develops the skills necessary for every player. By learning and mastering basic skills of soccer, players are able to develop the advanced moves you can see at the professional level. The youth academies of FC Barcelona, Manchester United, Ajax Amsterdam and many others are using this great way of soccer.
This program will progressively work on 1. Footwork - teaches feints, moves and basic skills essential in developing confidence and mastery with the ball; and 2. First Touch, Control, and Passing - how to properly control balls on the ground and in the air focusing on receiving the ball with proper technique and positioning, and learn to improve the accuracy, pace and variety in their passing game. The weekly Training sessions will conclude with either small sided or large scale scrimmages so players can freely incorporate their skills in real game situations.
The Developmental Training Program will train with the Challenger Trainers (Alex Jones – England and Camila Mattos – Brazil) on Monday Evenings - girls 5:00pm to 6:00pm and boys 6:10pm to 7:10pm. This program is being offered to all U7 and U8 players and is in addition to the Intramural program -- all participants are still required to participate in their regularly scheduled Intramural practices and games each week.
